We hear people saying “eat whole foods” more than ever, and no they’re not just talking about visiting an overpriced supermarket.
A whole food is one that has not been processed, refined or had any additional ingredients added to it. Only in modern times have human beings *not* been eating whole foods, and the results haven’t been pretty.
As if we needed any more reminding, the FDA has this to say about what kinds of foods are best for our health:
“Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods and low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol, may help reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers.”
So basically, eat things that haven’t been so processed that you can’t even recognize what you’re actually eating. Including…Heirloom Chia Seeds. You can find them here.
Heirloom Chia Seeds are definitely a whole food…
- Loaded with antioxidants (to resist the effects of aging)
- High in fiber (to provide an extremely effective and natural way to keep your digestive system clean)
- High in Omega-3 fatty acids (to decrease inflammation, increase heart health, and provide a boost to brain function)
- Able to lower your blood pressure by up to 10 points
- …and MUCH MORE
Please be careful when you choose your food and your health products. There’s nothing else in your life that can effect the quality of your life as much as the food you eat.
